The project titled “Beekeeping” has been implemented in Yakawlang District of Bamyan province, with the goal of empowering women and promoting sustainable economic opportunities in the region. This initiative was for a duration of six months, from November 2023 to April 2024. The project was funded by UNDP and covered 50 Women who were the most vulnerable among the community. During the project, beneficiaries have received both theoretical and practical training in beekeeping, with the intention of equipping them with the necessary skills to not only manage their own beekeeping businesses but also to foster local economic growth. The training has been delivered by professional trainers, who have provided the participants with essential knowledge on how to properly care for and manage bee colonies, harvest honey, and understand the various aspects of maintaining a successful beekeeping business.
